Operation Turkey Dinner

On Wednesday November 25th, 2015 at 9:15am, the Precinct 4 Constables office located at 6831 Cypresswood Dr. will begin “Operation Turkey Dinner”.

“Operation Turkey Dinner” is a program initiated several years ago to promote community outreach during the Thanksgiving holiday. Uniformed deputies will be delivering good will and Thanksgiving dinners to less fortunate families in our area.

Each year, many families do not get the opportunity to have a Thanksgiving meal. We can all make a real difference in some regard by giving back to those less privileged within our community. The Precinct 4 Constables office has identified a number of these families and it is our intent to reach out and provide them with a warm Turkey Dinner meal.

The fully cooked dinners feed a family of 6 to 8 and consist of an oven roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, old fashioned stuffing, turkey gravy, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, a pumpkin pie and a 2 liter soft drink.

Mr. John Peacocke with Sunrise Helicopter, Inc. was once again a major contributor in this year’s “Operation Turkey Dinner”, providing funding for forty fully cooked dinners. Constable Mark Herman is grateful to people like John Peacocke. “He truly exemplifies the meaning of Thanksgiving and the spirit of giving back and helping our fellow man in times of need. This is truly what giving Thanks is all about.”- Constable Mark Herman

Constable Mark Herman “It is humbling to receive recognition for a cause that is a complete Honor “. The employees here at Precinct 4 donated much time and will share in the recognition, we love our military men and women!”
