On November 17th, Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman was presented with an Appreciation Award for his participation and support of the Texas Honor Ride.
The event was held on Saturday, November 14th when motorcycle riders from throughout Harris County and surrounding areas delivered a check in the amount of $140,000.00. The monies raised helps provide healing support for wounded United States military service men and women who are recovering at the San Antonio Military Medical Center.
Texas Honor Ride President Kemah Blair personally presented Constable Herman with the award at the Precinct 4 Constable station located in Spring, Texas.
Blair stated, “Without the partnership and support of law enforcement such as Constable Mark Herman’s Department, this very special event could not be possible...”
Constable Mark Herman “It is humbling to receive recognition for a cause that is a complete Honor “. The employees here at Precinct 4 donated much time and will share in the recognition, we love our military men and women!”
Since 2005, the Texas Honor Ride, a 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $1,280,000.00 for wounded troops and their families. All funds raised benefit the Warrior and Family Support Center where staff and counselors administer the funds. For more information go to the Texas Honor Ride website.
